MERE 2023 presents the first Scientific Art and Photography Exhibition (ScAPE 2023) where participants have the opportunity to showcase their research in the light of art. ScAPE invites all forms of art, photography, and videos from attendees illustrating the science and very often the hidden beauty of their respective research work. Both computational and experimental entries are encouraged. The entries must not duplicate one another.
Entries submitted to ScAPE would be displayed during MERE 2023 and tablets would be provided near the display for the attendees to vote. Cash prizes await for outstanding entries decided based on the votes collected and by a panel of judges. Outstanding entries will be awarded during the MERE 2023 award ceremony and would be later displayed throughout the department through the MechE newsletter, televisions in and around the campus, and as the cover of the MERE booklet 2024.
